CROWN or Credit to Own is a rent to own program offered by the Utah Housing Corporation through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program. Residents renting a CROWN property will pay rental rates well below market rent while gaining home ownership skills and equity. Residents renting a home at the end of the property's 15 year compliance period have the right of first refusal to purchase the home for the balance of the remaining debt and a partial return of the tax credit equity.
