Building on the successful model of Archdale Apartments, Aeon opened St. Barnabas Apartments in 2005 to provide stable housing for formerly homeless and at-risk youth. St. Barnabas offers 24-hour on-site support services to assist youth in achieving their employment, education and self-sufficiency goals. The convenient downtown Minneapolis location is near employment opportunities, public transit lines and several colleges - giving youth access to stabilizing opportunities.   Development History The development was a historic preservation of a 1910 addition to St. Barnabas Hospital. The building had been vacant for decades when Allina Hospitals and Clinics donated it to Aeon in 2001. Adjacent to St. Barnabas is The Summit, 13 apartments for low-income working adults. Residents at The Summit have a separate, private entrance to the building.
