Harbor View Apartments are available for elderly, handicapped, or disabled individuals. We are a smoke free facility and the rent is based on 30% of the resident’s adjusted income (Hud Section 8) and includes water, garbage, and a utility allowance. The building contains an elevator, indoor mailboxes, coin-operated laundry with a sitting area, and off street parking. The community room has a full kitchen for parties and family gatherings. There is a TV lounge area with tables for putting puzzles together, card games, and great space for socializing. The lounge also has a beautiful view of artist point, East Bay, the Harbor, and Lake Superior. For convenience Harbor View is located within walking distance of the grocery store, bank, post office, senior center, and downtown Grand Marais. In addition, Arrowhead transit offers an on-call senior bus service from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Local annual events that take place near Harbor View include the fourth of July fireworks over the harbor, Grand Marais Art festival, fisherman picnic, and fall-color tours when the leaves are ready! This is a great place for retirees, especially if you love living along the beautiful shores of our great Lake Superior.
